  • Crocs Country Sporting Event 2026

Thu 26 Mar 2026 Mrs Sawyer

Despite a chilly, windy day with a sudden downpour, our runners showed incredible enthusiasm and determination at the stunning Royal Hospital School venue!

The team spirit was outstanding—cheering each other on at both the start and finish lines, creating an electric atmosphere despite the cold and waiting times. Some of our runners breezed through their races with ease, while others showed remarkable resilience, pushing through every challenge to cross the finish line.

A huge well done to everyone who took part—you truly made this exciting event one to remember!

A special thank you to Mrs Harden, Mrs Robinson, and Mrs Stollery for organising the children throughout the afternoon, and to all parents and carers for transporting, supporting, hydrating and congratulating all of our Year 4, 5 and 6 runners.

  • Pirates vs Mermaids

Wed 25 Mar 2026 Mrs Sawyer

Well, Magpies, what a busy week of rehearsals you have had! You have all worked so hard and absolutely ACED your first performance of Pirates Versus Mermaids show casing your talents to the whole school! Mrs MacDonalds (as are all of us staff!) is very proud of you! You spoke and sang loudly and clearly; with amazing choreography and knew all of your stage directions.

  • U11s Girls and Boys Match Report

Wed 18 Mar 2026 Mrs Sawyer

Both our U11s teams were in action yesterday afternoon at home in one of our last league games this year against Morland Primary. The girls kicked things off and, as always, put in a fantastic performance.

From the first whistle, the Bramford girls showed great energy, teamwork, and determination. They worked tirelessly for each other and never stopped giving their best throughout the match.

Despite their efforts, they came up against a very strong Morland Primary side and the game finished 6–1. While the result didn’t go our way, the attitude and commitment shown by every player was outstanding.

Next, it was the turn of the boys, whose game started at a fast pace and continued that way throughout.

The first half was closely contested, with both teams battling hard and creating chances, but neither side was able to break the deadlock, making it 0–0 at half-time.

It wasn’t until the second half that Morland managed to find the back of the Bramford net. However, the Bramford boys showed great resilience and determination, refusing to give up. They continued to work hard as a team, supporting one another across the pitch.

Their efforts were rewarded with a well-deserved equaliser — a great goal — and they went on to create several more chances, coming close to taking the lead.

The boys’ league match finished 1–1, a fair result in a competitive and exciting game.

Both teams never gave up and continued to support one another right to the final whistle — a real credit to themselves and the school.

We now look forward to our next matches after the Easter break.

Well done, Bramford footballers, parent and carer supporters and Mr Vickers who refereed both matches today — you are ACE!

  • 🏅 Year 2 Pupils Enjoy School Games Fun Event

Wed 18 Mar 2026 Mrs Sawyer

On Friday, some of our younger children had the opportunity to take part in a School Games Fun Sporting Event – the KS1 Panathlon. A group of our Year 2 Hedgehogs and Hares were invited to showcase their sporting abilities across a range of fun activities designed to develop their skills.

The children were split into two teams and each one was determined to do their very best, proudly showing just how ACE they are while competing alongside other schools. One of our teams achieved an excellent Bronze place, while the other brought home the Gold trophy and a framed certificate! This is the second year running that Bramford has won this event!

We were incredibly proud of the children and the way they represented our school throughout the event. The organisers even commented on how well-mannered our Bramford children were, which made the day even more special.

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who supported from the balcony and helped transport our children to and from the event, and to Mrs Harden, who enjoyed the afternoon alongside the children supporting the teams through it all.

Well done to all the children who took part and represented our school so brilliantly!

  • U11 Girls Shine in League Victory

Fri 13 Mar 2026 Mrs Sawyer

On Thursday, our fantastic U11s Girls’ football team played their next league match against Clifford Road Primary School.

As we have come to expect, the girls demonstrated ACE teamwork throughout the game — encouraging one another, working hard and playing with smiles on their faces. The colder weather did nothing to deter their determination and impressive work ethic.

It was a strong performance against a very organised team, resulting in a well-deserved 3–0 victory!

An ACE team performance from start to finish. The girls should be incredibly proud of their effort, resilience and sportsmanship.

As always, a huge thank you to the girls’ parents for their continued support — cheering from the sidelines — and to Mr Vickers for giving his time and expertise to help the girls perform at their very best.

  • Tortoise's Learning update...

Fri 13 Mar 2026 Mrs Sawyer

Tortoises have been working on Solar System interpretive dances. We have used a variety of music such as Run boy run - Woodkid, a Sky full of stars - Coldplay and a million dreams from the Greatest Showman.
The children have thought about different aspects of Space from recent learning in the classroom to create a dance. They have thought about elements of dance such as levels, control, space awareness and dynamics.

  • U11 Boys Football

Tue 10 Mar 2026 Mrs Sawyer

The U11 boys’ football team were in action yesterday in their second-round Owain Richards Cup match against Rushmere Primary School, a very organised and skilful side.

The first half did not quite go our way and we conceded two goals. However, the Bramford boys showed great determination and never gave up. Their hard work paid off when they scored a fantastic goal, chipping the keeper and keeping their hopes very much alive going into the second half.

The team returned after the break knowing they needed two goals to reach the quarter-finals – and they delivered. One goal came from a well-worked corner, and the other was a powerful strike straight into the back of the net. Suddenly the momentum was with us and it became our game to hold on to.

The whole match was exciting to watch.  In final minutes were no exception when a penalty was awarded to Rushmere. Our goalkeeper stepped up brilliantly, making a confident and professional save to keep us ahead. The match finished 3–2 to Bramford, securing a well-earned place in the quarter-finals.

As a school, we are extremely proud of the boys who took part. They showed resilience, teamwork and great sportsmanship throughout the match and represented applying their ACE particles.

Well done to everyone involved - parents who as always supported enthusiastically from the side lines and Mr Vickers for his expertise.

Even more excitingly, both our U11 boys’ and girls’ teams have now reached the quarter-finals. We are looking forward to more exciting matches ahead!

  • Girls Football!

Tue 10 Mar 2026 Mrs Sawyer

Our Bramford Year 5 girls had a fantastic time and represented the school brilliantly throughout Monday afternoon's U10s football event. They showed great enthusiasm, teamwork and determination in all of their matches. Overall, the team had a very successful afternoon, winning three games, drawing one and narrowly losing one.

They supported one another, worked hard, and showed great sportsmanship throughout.  Most importantly, the girls enjoyed the experience and should be very proud of how they played and represented the school.  An ACE job - well done everyone involved: Mrs Harden, parents and grandparents for their time, cheering and support throughout the afternoon.

  • ⚽️ U8s Girls Football Festival ⚽️

Mon 09 Mar 2026 Mrs Sawyer

ur U8 girls took part in a football festival on Friday and showed fantastic enthusiasm throughout the afternoon. For many of them it was their first time playing in a festival, so they were understandably a little nervous at the start. However, once they scored a couple of goals their confidence quickly grew.

    Results: Won 3 | Drew 2 | Lost 1

The girls supported one another brilliantly, took turns being a substitute, and demonstrated excellent team spirit in every game. Their positive attitude and willingness to keep trying were a great example of our ACE values.

A huge well done to all of the girls for representing the school so positively.

Thank you to Mrs Harden for supporting the team on Friday afternoon, and to the parents for their help with transport and encouragement.
