  • Queen's Platinum Jubilee!

Fri 27 May 2022 Mrs Burgess

What a truly fantastic day it has been celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee!

The children thoroughly enjoyed their picnic lunch complete with long decorated tables, bunting, self-made crowns and flags. They were treated to a visit by ‘the Queen’ (complete with her own body guards) and a fly past by ‘the red arrows!’ From 2.30pm, we were then joined by lots of friends and family for a celebration on the school field. There was lots to do including an excellent selection of stalls organised by our own, and very

enterprising, Year 6 pupils – ACE work!  Plus of course the sun was shining…what more could you ask for?! Huge thanks to everyone for coming along and to our HSA for all  of their hard work in organising the event.

  • Rec & Y1 'Ocean and Seas'

Wed 04 May 2022 Miss Bartlett

Reception and Y1 started their new topic 'Oceans and Seas' with the story Billy's Bucket. It is a story all about a little boy who wants nothing other than a bucket for his birthday. Billy uses his imagination to help him fill his bucket. He could see dolphins, fish, the coral reef and even sharks inside his bucket!! We had a go at using our imagination to see what we could see inside Miss Bartlett's bucket. The Year ones did an amazing job of using exciting adjectives to describe what was in their bucket too. The Receptions and the Year Ones were then very keen to go and complete the writing challenge, telling me exactly what they could see in their bucket.
