Bramford CEVC
Primary School
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
'It was really lovely to invite Hedgehog parents into the classroom and share with them all the work we have been busy creating! There were lots of Hedgehogs eager to show their parents their work and their classroom and it was lovely to see the children discussing what they had learnt with their grownups!
Red Nose Day was celebrated in lots of different ways at Bramford. The children dressed up in superhero themes and tried red nose animal yoga, dodgeball, nose and spoon race and much more. The school raised £171.01 for this great charity.
Year 6 created creatures that might be able to survive on Mars. They thought about what their creature would eat and how it would keep warm.
We also explored the compost bin, to identify the worms living there, and spread the finished compost on planting areas.
Year 3 have been growing plants as part of our science week. We've only just planted and watered them - hoping to see some flowers by the beginning of Easter.
What a wonderful day World Book Day was. The whole school enjoyed a day of activities. All of the costumes were amazing and we would like to say a big thank you to Morrisons Foundation who presented the school with a box of new books.
Hedgehogs had lots of fun completing an experiment before half term. We wanted to see how important it is to wash our hands and get rid of any germs before putting our hands in our mouths or eating. To help us see exactly what germs do, we conducted a bread experiment. We all handled one piece of bread with unclean hands, we then wiped another piece of bread on our shoes and then the last piece was touched by only Miss Bartlett with clean hands. These were the results! The children were really excited to see how the bread had changed but were disgusted at the same time! We now know why it is so important to wash our hands!!
We are very happy to have received our official Quality Mark Award certificate!
