Have a Heart Day CPR Training ❤

On Friday 24th of February we had our very own Have a Heart Day. We came to school wearing red or symbols of hearts to show the importance of looking after our heart and what we can do in an emergency to help the heart. To help us with this, we had a special visit from Kevin the paramedic who talked to us about what to do in an emergency and who can help us. He also taught us how to put our friends into the recovery position and how to perform CPR, which we practised to the music 'Staying Alive'!

  • Foxes and Hedgehog's sharing assembly 🦊🦔

Fri 10 Feb 2023 Miss Bartlett

Foxes and Hedgehog's sharing assembly 🦊🦔

This morning we had a double edition sharing assembly with both Foxes and Hedgehogs. Parents and carers joined us for Foxes first ever sharing assembly and to see all the hard work that both Foxes and Hedgehogs had been doing over the past week.

We enjoyed looking at the castle models that Foxes had created and were treated to a story of 'The Princess and the pea' which was beautifully signed by all.

The hedgehogs had their English work to show and talked about the instructions they had written to catch different mythical creatures. They also told us about their learning in science and design and technology, where they had to design an umbrella for Cody and Chloe, their class sloths!

  • Tree planting 🌳🌲🌎

    Tree planting 🌳🌲🌎

This week we braved the cold weather and ventured outside to plant 210 saplings at the bottom of our field. We came to school in old, warm clothes and wore our wellies to get stuck in to tree planting. The ground was a little frozen in the morning, so we had to use our ACE particle of persevering to dig a hole that was deep enough for our tree roots. It was lovely to see the children and staff working together to plant the trees and enjoying being outside and active.

We look forward to watching our trees grow and have promised to look after them during the winter and the summer months! After all, as most of us pointed out, trees are important in providing the oxygen we need to breathe!

  • Staff Pantomime! 🌟

    Staff Pantomime! 🌟

On Thursday this week the staff put on a performance of 'Robin Hood' for the children of Bramford to enjoy. The pantomime had been written by our very own Mrs Legg and saw the staff dressing up to fulfil their roles. The children loved to see the adults being 'playful' and enjoyed joining in with 'he's behind you' and 'oh yes it is!'.

One child enjoyed the pantomime so much that she went home and created a beautiful drawing of each character 🤩 Thank you so much Phoebe from Hares class, you really did make all of the staff at Bramford smile! 😊
