Safeguarding

At Bramford CEVC Primary School, we recognise and are committed to our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of our pupils.

We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment and culture where children are respected and valued.  We are aware and alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and will follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice.

We will do this by:

  • ensuring our approach is child-centred - this means we must always consider what is in the best interests of the child
  • seeking to establish effective working relationships with our parents and carers
  • providing offers of early help for our pupils and their families
  • endeavouring to work effectively in partnership with other agencies
  • developing and providing activities and opportunities throughout our curriculum that will help to equip our pupils with the skills they need.  This will include materials and learning experiences that will encourage our pupils to develop essential life skills and protective behaviours.

If you are concerned about the safety or welfare or your child, or a child you know, you should act without delay. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Please contact the school if you ever have concerns or need advice.
