Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Pupils from our Hares, Hedgehogs, Woodpeckers and Badgers classes filled our hearts with festive joy yesterday when they performed the songs from their Christmas play outside on our new raised grass area. You were all absolute stars!
Year 5 - our tortoises class - were very excited yesterday to have a special visit from some real life tortoises. They were kindly brought for their visit to the school by Caroline Wolton. It was therefore a fantastic opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to Caroline for all of the commitment and energy she has given to our school during her time as a governor. Caroline has left our governing body this term but will continue to be an important part of our school community.
Earlier this week, the children enjoyed a yummy Christmas dinner cooked by our fantastic kitchen team. Here's some photographs of our youngest children tucking in!
Yesterday we enjoyed our Christmas assembly which was held virtually. We were sad not to be able to go to the church this year but the children led a wonderful virtual service, singing some favourite carols such as 'Away in a Manger,' 'Once in Royal David's City' and 'Little Donkey' and sharing readings and prayers. We all also enjoyed a fantastic Christmas message from Reverend Eric as part of our assembly, recorded especially for us from the church. It was a lovely chance to see the church looking ready for Christmas, and enjoy the lighting of the advent candles, albeit from a far. Thank you Reverend Eric for your thoughts for a hopeful Christmas.
The children all looked fantastic at school today wearing their Christmas Jumpers. The bright colours remind us that Christmas is a time to enjoy and share the good things in life; the two arms in our jumpers remind us that Christmas is a time for giving - arms can reach out to help others; and the body of our jumpers help us to remember that everybody matters. Here's a selection of happy Christmas jumper wearers from each of our age groups...
