    KS1 Police visit 👮🏻‍♀️

KS1 enjoyed a visit from PC Kate, who came to tell them all about her job and how she works to keep the community safe. They enjoyed trying on different police clothing as well as the different police hats. The children were also fascinated by the hand cuffs and baton and enjoyed passing these around. PC Katie also gave them some top tips on how to keep safe!

    Hedgehogs transition morning 🦔

Hedgehogs had a lovely time getting to know each other yesterday morning in preparation for September! They started their morning with a 'groove and a move' and enjoyed following a dance along. They then listened to the story 'The Crayons that talked' and talked about how they will become their very own box of crayons next year with everyone being different and unique! They discussed how by everyone being unique 'the picture is complete!' Hedgehogs enjoyed designing their very own crayon for their new classroom display, drawing their faces and writing their names. They then enjoyed playtime on the KS1 playground and loved using the new equipment! To finish the morning, Hedgehogs explored the classroom and enjoyed talking and getting to know their new friends and teachers.😊

    Sports day 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

We had an awesome sports day with lots of different races and of course sportsmanship! It was lovely to see the children supporting one another and cheering for their friends! Parents also got stuck in with the 'Dad's race' being very competitive!

We all performed our sports day dance to 'I'm still standing' choreographed last year by Mrs Lindford-Wood and we all managed to remember it!

Thank you Mr B for organising a fantastic day for all teachers, children and parents!

    KS1 R.E. - Jewish Sukkot ✡

Hedgehogs, Hares and Woodpeckers learnt about the Jewish Festival Sukkot on their return to school. They learnt about the huts that are made during the festival called Sukkahs. The children designed their own Sukkahs before having a go at building them. They built them on a small scale using the construction materials in the classroom and then went and built them outside in the orchard area.
