Foxes Colchester zoo trip 🐘🐯🦒

Foxes had an amazing day at the zoo on Thursday. The teachers were a very proud of how the children represented the school, as they were all fantastically well behaved! Everyone listened carefully, stayed with the group, helped each other, showed ACE manners well as being very good at walking around the whole zoo and carrying their bags.

Foxes explored the enclosures such as the rain forest walk through and iguana forest. They also had an education session called ‘we’re going on a safari’ where they learnt about Africa, the different landscapes within Africa, the big 5 (elephants, lions, rhino, leopards and buffalo) and their habitats as well as what they like to eat. During the session everyone listened to the instructor, showing a keenness to show off  animal knowledge from this term using key vocabulary that we had learnt. Once this had finished we enjoyed eating our lunch at a lovely picnic spot. We very so excited to see lots of animals including:
- lions
-tigers
- monkeys (orangatang, chimpanzees, tamarins and lots more!)
- elephants and zebras
- giraffes and rhinos (and a baby rhino)
- meerkats and fish
- Pygmy hippos
- crocodile and bears
- penguins and sea lions
