Broccoli soup in EYFS and KS1🥦

As part of our topic ‘come outside’ we have been thinking and learning about where foods come from. Together we discussed how some fruit and vegetables may either grow on trees, come from plants or from the ground.

We then used this information to follow the journey of a broccoli and how it grows on the farm, how it is harvested and how it gets to the shops.

After this we decided to make ‘broccoli soup’. The children carefully prepared the potatoes and broccoli by peeling and chopping ready for the adults to boil and blend. Once it was ready everyone tried the soup and most of us thought it was delicious!
