Morning Drop-off
We have seen the process of parents and carers ‘dropping-off’ children at their different points be hugely beneficial in reducing children becoming upset or clingy with parents and carers in the mornings. This is why we are recommending a ‘drop-off’ style start to the school day as per the above information.
If for specific reasons this is not working for your child, please speak to us as we may be able to offer reasonable adjustments and additional support.
Speaking to your child's teacher(s)
The focus of teachers in the morning will be to meet and greet the children and bring them into school safely – feeling positive and ready to start their day of learning. Whilst teachers are always keen to hear any messages, thoughts or concerns you have, this is therefore not the best time to try to speak to your child’s teacher. It is better to try and catch your child's teacher at the end of the day.
Important or urgent messages can be given to members of the school office team and appointments to discuss something with your child’s teacher can be arranged via the office also either in person, by telephone or via email.
