Bramford CEVC
Primary School
Our Curriculum
At Bramford CEVC Primary School, we provide a broad, ambitious and exciting curriculum where children can experience the awe and wonder of our world and believe the only limit is their imagination. Our curriculum delivers the National Curriculum in an exciting and purposeful way, preparing our children for future success. Learning is delivered through relevant and inspiring themes and topics with cross-curricular links exploited to enable pupils to make connections in their learning and to make it interesting and meaningful.
Through our curriculum we aim for our pupils to be:
Our intent for each National Curriculum subject is carefully considered to ensure that we meet our curriculum aims. This is further enriched by our Curriculum Drivers which underpin every aspect of our curriculum. Through these it is our intent to:
Equip our children with the emotional resilience needed to cope with life’s challenges in order to develop a sense of well-being by:

Our Curriculum Content and Assessment Documents (CADS) ensure clear progression in pupils’ knowledge, skills and understanding in each subject as they move through our school. Learning is delivered through relevant and inspiring themes and topics with cross-curricular links exploited to enable pupils to make connections in their learning and to make it interesting and meaningful. We also include visits and visitors to further enrich our curriculum and make it memorable for our pupils.
As a Church of England School our curriculum is further enhanced through our Christian values for life, our collective worship, community links and our 'real life curriculum'. You can read more about these in the 'A Christian Ethos' and 'Real Life Curriculum' sections of our website.
We also benefit from being able to work together with our partner school, Somersham Primary, to add to our curriculum and learning experiences for our pupils.
Successful Learners
Our ACE ‘Particles,’ teach our pupils to be responsible, respectful and independent learners with a positive attitude. We aim to foster their aspirations and encourage them to persevere in their learning, even when at first they don’t succeed. We aspire to provide opportunities for our pupils to achieve both independently and together and to be caring and sharing. Together we are ACE!
There is a harmonious atmosphere in lessons, where pupils work well together and talk enthusiastically about what they are learning. Bramford Ofsted 2017
