Year 3 have been using their newfound column addition knowledge to transfer to learning column subtraction. We are learning our times table facts at quicker rates and enjoying our Multiplication Mountain work. In English we have written a newspaper article by using the facts we have read and discovered when researching Tutankhamun's tomb discovery which happened in 1922! We have extended our vocabulary with new topic related words and used these in context, we have learned to use; the past tense, extend our descriptions using noun phrases and chosen fronted adverbials to add suspense and interest. We have had lots of fun with our Science lessons and now have found out about the water cycle, we can label the parts of the process and explain the meaning of the new vocabulary we have been taught. Also we have shown lots of enthusiasm to play the recorder in our weekly Music lessons.
