World Book Day 📚🌟✨⭐

There was an amazing atmosphere in the school on Thursday as the children came to school dressed as their favourite book characters. 

This year we challenged the children to be eco friendly and home make their costumes instead of buying one. It was clear to see that everyone had made such a big effort to reuse and recycle in order to put their costume together. We enjoyed seeing everyone's costumes during our morning parade and also enjoyed an assembly together. Even Sophie our therapy dog made an effort as she arrived at school as 'spot' the dog! We even had a competition for the best homemade costumes in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 who received a book prize for their efforts. 

The day also consisted of a 'footy booky quiz' for KS2, sharing our favourite stories and sharing stories with different year groups - EYFS and KS1 really enjoyed being read to by the KS2 children! We even had a school book sale at the end of the day where children could go and buy a book for 10p!
