Yesterday afternoon our U11 girls Football Team played their final game of the season against 'The Beeches'.
It was a really enjoyable match to watch. The team have come on in leaps and kicks since the beginning of the season and this was demonstrated in their skill and ability to win the ball from their opponents.
The girls started the match confidently and defineitly had the bulk of possession. The Bramford girls opened the scoring with a great shot into the centre of the goal after a great kick in from a corner. The second was a sure fire goal from a free kick. It didn't take long though for The Beeches to draw level at 2:2. With a few changes to the usual formation and positions, this didn't deter our girls who then went on the score another 3 goals in the second half. The match ended with a triumphant final score of...5:2...to Bramford! The team thoroughly deserved this win.
As always, thank you to all the parents who spectated. Mr Vickers and Mrs Harvey, thank you for your time, coaching and words of encouragement from the sideline.
As we are VERY proud of the way you performed as a team. Girls, you did enjoy the game with smiles on faces as you played. Hopefully you will continue playing together during the summer term on Fridays and we can arrange a few friendly matches with some local schools.
You are ACE! We have ended the season with three consecutive wins!
