On Monday, we had a very special visit from Winston, who travelled across the seas on the Windrush in 1948 from Jamaica. He shared with us why the journey happened, what life was like in Britain at that time for the Windrush generation, and the challenges they faced. Winston encouraged us to think deeply about the idea that we are one human race with many different cultures—something to be celebrated and respected. His stories helped us understand the importance of inclusion, kindness, and valuing the experiences of others. It was a really interesting visit, and we hope the children went home excited to share what they learned with their adults!
